Adopting effective behavioral health programs and services requires support for the “what” (the service itself), but also the “how” (practice implementation). This interactive session from the SAMHSA-funded Center for Mental Health Implementation Support (CMHIS) will provide practical strategies and resources to prepare for, implement, and sustain practices to promote the best client outcomes. Whether you’re just starting to think about a new program or feeling stuck with a practice you’ve been trying to implement, we have techniques and solutions to help you set the course, navigate roadblocks, and achieve desired outcomes for your organization and the communities you serve.

Learning Objectives:

Identify key components of effective implementation using practical frameworks from implementation science to support behavioral health service delivery.
Apply strategies to assess readiness, navigate barriers, and sustain change in behavioral health organizations.
Engage in collaborative problem-solving by sharing challenges and solutions with peers, and exploring adaptable tools and techniques that promote successful practice adoption and improved client outcomes.
