A reality-based session to learn and then use strategies and tools to build up your people and teams. We will use 2 case studies to illustrate how to deploy the best of the best in research-based tools to get results you want. Case #1: A LCSW promoted to a role of Clinical Director. The clinic has various challenges and the new leader is struggling to gain the foothold. Case #2: Agency B has a strong team but feel care is in jeopardy, due to poor engagement, productivity and caseload size. Work is driven by regulation not patient impact.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will identify skills to identify root causes for individual and team challenges.
Participants will be able to identify the relevance of James Marsh's work on leadership as "Plumbing and Poerty" to leading behavioral health teams with a broader set of skills (plumbing).
Participants will be capable of developing skills in leaders using lessons learned from like behavioral health providers.
