Ms. Sanchez is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than two decades of leadership experience in behavioral health. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas State University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Since joining Camino Real Community Services in 1997, she has served in multiple leadership roles, including Clinic Manager, Children’s Services Director, and Mental Health Services Director. In these roles, she expanded access to care, implemented evidence-based practices, and strengthened community partnerships across the region.
Camino Real Community Services serves as the Local Mental Health Authority for a nine-county area—Atascosa, Dimmit, Frio, Karnes, La Salle, Maverick, McMullen, Wilson, and Zavala—and provides Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) services across seventeen counties: Atascosa, Bandera, Bee, Comal, Dimmit, Frio, Guadalupe, Kinney, La Salle, Live Oak, Maverick, McMullen, Medina, Real, Uvalde, Wilson, and Zavala.
Appointed Executive Director in June 2021, Ms. Sanchez leads the organization with a strong commitment to improving the lives of individuals facing mental health, substance use, and intellectual and developmental challenges, ensuring access to quality care and meaningful opportunities.
