Zhanna Elberg, MD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the University at Buffalo and a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist. She serves as Medical Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinics at Erie County Medical Center and Program Director of OnTrackNY at ECMC, where she leads coordinated specialty care for adolescents and young adults experiencing first-episode psychosis.
Dr. Elberg has extensive clinical and leadership experience in early psychosis, having previously directed the NAVIGATE First Episode Psychosis Program and contributed to national initiatives advancing evidence-based care for youth with emerging psychotic disorders.
Her work focuses on developmentally informed, recovery-oriented approaches for adolescents and transitional-age youth, including shared decision-making, school and college transitions, and optimizing treatment engagement during the early phases of illness. She has presented nationally on early psychosis and youth mental health and serves in leadership roles within the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
