Since joining The Quell Foundation five years ago, Maya Kaufman has quickly become an integral part of the organization, driven by her passion for mental health advocacy and commitment to reducing stigma. As Assistant Director of The Quell Foundation’s First Responder Resilience Project, Kaufman led the development of the program’s mental health training, an innovative initiative that incorporates documentary screenings, remote trainings, and seminars to address stigma and promote open conversations around mental health within first responder communities.

Through her work, Kaufman continues to advocate for the well-being of those on the front lines, helping expand access to meaningful mental health resources.
