Licensed Paramedic and Clinical Psychology Researcher
Leah Siwinski is a licensed paramedic-turned clinical psychology researcher, driven by a commitment to improving mental health outcomes for first responders. After experiencing firsthand the impact of duty-related trauma, she developed a strong interest in understanding how chronic stress, trauma exposure, and organizational factors shape responder well-being.
Siwinski holds a master’s degree in psychology and is currently completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology, with research focusing on trauma, psychophysiological stress responses, resilience, and evidence-based interventions for paramedics, firefighters, and EMTs. Her work sits at the intersection of science and lived experience, with the goal of translating research into practical solutions that meaningfully support first responder health, performance, and career longevity.
