Dr. Deb Stone is a nationally recognized suicide prevention expert who brings 25 years of passion, scientific expertise, and lived experience to her work. She is an ardent proponent of the public health approach to suicide prevention with expertise spanning data/surveillance, the science of suicide prevention, strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of what works, and suicide prevention communication. She is an accomplished researcher, presenter, trusted partner, and maintains broad collaborations across the field. Deb helped transform suicide prevention during her 18-year tenure at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She joined The Jed Foundation in Jan 2026 as the Senior Director for Knowledge and Review.
