Dr. Laura Murray, M.A., Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a clinical psychologist and the CEO/Founder of CETA Global and Care Confidence. She is a leader in global mental health having conducted and led programs and studies across the world, including Zambia, Lebanon, Ukraine, Georgia Iraq, Cambodia, South Africa, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Malawi, Peru, Columbia, Honduras, Bougainville, Australia, Germany, Sweden, and many more.

Beyond her extensive clinical experience and global expertise, Dr. Murray is passionate about solving big problems in mental health by ushering in a new era of mental health care in the U.S. and fixing the disjointed and painful system we have today. She has already proven (8+ clinical trials) that her evidence-based care approach can treat clients effectively in up to 78% less time than traditional care. Now, she is focused on leading the charge for creating a new end-to-end system that can unclog workforce shortages, shrink client wait-times, and increase job satisfaction for both providers and administrators.

This work is aided by her research (studying the effectiveness, acceptability, scalability and teaching of a wide range of evidence-based treatments) and her background running cross-disciplinary teams and regularly working across policy, governments, ministries, and private industry.

What sets Dr. Murray apart is her ability to blend both academic research with practical, implementable solutions, and the ability to execute. She strives to think out-of-the-box and push creativity to reach bold goals by bringing together the best researchers, government bodies, and commercial practitioners. This is aided by her nuanced understanding of the needs of providers and administrators ‘in the field’ and her ability to apply the latest advances in technology (machine learning/AI) to strategically support and accelerate the building of a system that can provide efficient and effective care.

Ultimately Laura is passionate about accelerating the implementation of real programs that work and getting scientifically proven "best practices" available across the globe.
