Catherine Maloney is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the Director of Learning & Development at BestSelf Behavioral Health. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Saint Bonaventure University and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Medaille College. With over a decade of experience in community mental health, Catherine has worked across residential, substance use, and group-based programs since 2012. Previously, she served as a program director at a BestSelf Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, where she led integrated outpatient services for three years. Catherine is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and has earned several advanced certifications, including the Master Trainer Certificate, Making Training Stick Certificate, and Gamification Level One Certification. These credentials highlight her expertise in delivering impactful training and utilizing game-design principles to enhance learner engagement and motivation. Catherine is also currently working towards becoming a Certified Lean Professional through the University of Buffalo, further expanding her skill set in process improvement and operational efficiency.
