Scott Banken brings 32 years of experience as a certified public accountant with 23 years focused on health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and value-based reimbursement including Cost Reporting. Mr. Banken was an integral part of the team at CMS that developed the payment parameters for the federal CCBHC demonstration and continues to provide technical assistance on behalf of CMS to states, state associations and clinics on the payment models, key financial metrics and cost reporting requirements. Mr. Banken’s team developed and maintain the CMS CCBHC cost report template and instructions. Mr. Banken holds an accounting degree from the University of St. Thomas and an M.B.A. from University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Minnesota, and a member of the MN Society of Certified Public Accountants.
