Dr. John Pratico is an Associate Professor of Psychology and serves as the Dean of the School of Professional Studies at Anna Maria College. He also directs the College's Mental Health Training Institute. Dr. Pratico has been teaching at the College since 2014. He has been an instructor in Counselor Education programs for over a decade and has supervised hundreds of pre-licensure behavioral health students. Regarding his clinical background, he has worked with children, adolescents and adults in community health centers, psychiatric hospitals, schools, and private practice settings across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. His research interests include effective teaching strategies for psychology students and the mental health of college students and first responders. Dr. Pratico is a clinical psychologist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and has served in higher education for over a decade.
