Dr. Casey Rudzinski is a professor, researcher in mental health for athletics, and brand ambassador for health and wellness companies. Currently, he teaches as an Online Graduate Professor in Sport Management and Leadership for South Carolina-based Newberry College and is an adjunct professor of Sport Management for New York-based Monroe University. Prior to teaching in higher education, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Scientific Communications and Community Engagement at the FAU Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute in Jupiter, Florida.
Rudzinski received his doctorate degree in education from Northcentral University (San Diego, California), where he researched social-emotional wellness in education-based athletics, assessing areas such as mental health literacy and community resources. Previously, he presented research on this topic at the NatCon23 conference in Los Angeles for the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. His background in athletic administration and coaching student-athletes played a major role in focusing on this topic area more in-depth.
Prior to that, Rudzinski earned a master’s degree in sports management from the Richard Bolte School of Business at Mount St. Mary's University in Maryland. He started a second master's degree in interdisciplinary studies in human behavior at Hood College in Maryland before pivoting to a doctorate program. Also, he has co-authored a publication titled: Fostering Resilience Through Athletics for American Psychology Association Division 47: Society for Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology. In addition to his work in sport psychology and mental health advocacy, he has spent more than a decade in athletics, K-12 education, and community relations.
