Dr. Lisa Moon is the Dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Health. She has served the Walden social work program in multiple roles since 2013. Dr. Moon has worked in social work education since 1990, contributing to program development, community connections, and curriculum development and accreditation activities at three different universities. She is a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of Arkansas and Louisiana. Prior to working in the educational area, she worked with children and family services, medical social work and mental health services. Her research interests include simulation education, gerontology and social work accreditation. She continues to serve in the community through volunteering and board appointments, as well as serving as a member of the Council on Social Work Education's (CSWE) Commission on Accreditation. She is active in reviewing accreditation self-study materials for BSW and MSW programs. She continues in her role as a commissioner visitor in reviewing programs that are in candidacy for accreditation.
