Kathy Rizo has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the state of Florida since 2017. She received her Bachelors in Biology & a Minor in Philosophy from the University of Central Florida in 2008 and then went on to graduate with her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2014. Kathy has been an employee with Aspire Health Partners since graduating with her degree in 2014. During her time with Aspire Health Partners, Kathy has refined her clinical skills by working with adults, adolescents, children, and families with a wide range of mental health disorders, including ADHD, behavioral disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, OCD, and a focus on schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Kathy has worked as the Clinical Manager for Aspire Health Partner’s First Episode Psychosis program, INPSYTE, for the past 5 years. During her time with INPSYTE, Kathy was trained extensively in three Coordinated Specialty Care Models for Psychosis, including NAVIGATE, OnTrackNY, & most recently, STRIDE. She has attended multiple psychosis-focused training courses, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis. Kathy has also attended multiple national conferences for First Episode Psychosis, including in -person at the 2019 Early Assessment & Alliance (EASA) conference in Oregon, in-person at the 2022 Southwest First Episode Psychosis Conference in Austin, Texas, and several virtual conferences throughout her time with INPSYTE. Kathy has also volunteered her counseling services in the past for the recovery efforts of Hurricane Maria and the Pulse tragedy and continues to make it her personal & professional goal to provide high- quality, compassionate care to her community.
