Alysia Smith Knight is the Executive Director of the Tennessee Association of Mental Health Organizations (TAMHO), the statewide trade association representing Community Mental Health Centers and nonprofit behavioral health providers serving Tennesseans of all ages. With more than two decades of experience in behavioral health advocacy and nonprofit leadership, Alysia is driven by the belief that every individual facing behavioral health challenges deserves hope, healing, and timely access to care. She has successfully led legislative initiatives in Tennessee that secured critical resources for an historically underfunded system and, for the past eight years, has served as State Captain with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing during its Hill Day initiatives in Washington, building strong partnerships with policymakers to advance nationwide reforms. She holds degrees from Xavier University in New Orleans and Lipscomb University in Nashville.
