Director of Spiritual Care
WestCare
Henderson, Nevada
Sr. Chaplain Ryan Michael Creelman serves as Director of Spiritual Care for WestCare Foundation, where he provides pastoral counseling and spiritual support for individuals in recovery and for the professionals who care for them. A licensed minister and board-certified chaplain, Ryan brings more than 25 years of experience in the faith and recovery community, including over 13 years in addiction treatment and behavioral health services.
Known to his colleagues as “The Chap,” Ryan created the Spiritual Care Chaplain Program (SCCP), an innovative, trauma-informed model that honors diverse spiritual traditions, fosters community reconnection, and has achieved some of the highest success rates in sustaining long-term recovery since its integration into residential treatment in 2015. The program also extends into aftercare through a strong peer fellowship network.
Beyond WestCare, Ryan serves on the Advisory Board for Chaplaincy Nevada, supporting the work of more than 400 chaplains in hospitals, hospices, law enforcement, and community settings. He has also served as a sworn chaplain for the Boulder City Police Department and as a hospice chaplain providing end-of-life spiritual care.
A lifelong Las Vegan, Ryan is dedicated to advancing trauma-informed, spiritually integrated approaches that bring hope, connection, and healing to individuals and communities.
