Dr. Catherine Grigg, PsyD started with Compass Health Network over 20 years ago as a psychology intern, resident, and therapist. She has held various roles at Compass Health network throughout her career including working as an outpatient therapist, Director of Special Projects, Director of Psychiatry Services and now VP of Outpatient Psychiatric Services.
Dr. Cathy Grigg is the Vice President of Outpatient Psychiatry Services for Compass Health. Dr. Grigg completed her doctorate of Psychology from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in October, 2004. Prior to her position as VP of Psychiatry Services, Dr. Grigg served as the Director of Special Projects for Compass Health, after completing a six-year stint as an Outpatient Psychologist with Compass Health.
Dr. Grigg has had the honor to supervise and provide guidance to several other psychologists while they worked to obtain their doctor degrees, as well as working with the Heart of America Psychological Training Consortium to develop the appropriate Internship program to comply with the APPIC requirements.
Dr. Grigg finds the most satisfaction in the volunteer work she can do. She travels and provides education/training in Behavioral Health, specifically regarding PTSD in children after natural disasters or war/conflict. She has served on the board for multiple non-profits, as well as the Heart of America Psychological Training Consortium. On these volunteer trips, she has worked with hundreds of teachers to provide the appropriate training and support to children after disasters. She has also had the opportunity to work with Training Teachers as Therapists in the Aftermath of Disaster in Joplin, MO, as well as Training the Trainers Course in Trauma Psychiatry for Joplin Mental Health Professionals, Physicians and Others. Dr. Grigg has also presented in the post-Katrina New Orleans, as well as Gaza in the aftermath of war. And has traveled multiple times to Kenya to train behavioral health students and volunteers.
