Carrie King, MA, LPC is a Senior Manager on the Youth Safety & Well-Being team at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. A Licensed Professional Counselor with more than a decade of experience in mental health, she has dedicated her career to supporting youth and families. Carrie is also a certified Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor and has spent the past three years training BBBS staff nationally to recognize and respond to signs of mental health challenges in young people.
Prior to her national role, Carrie served as the Trauma-Informed Care Specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City. Her background also includes extensive work as an individual and family therapist, specializing in trauma-informed care and youth well-being. Passionate about creating safe and supportive environments for young people, Carrie continues to advocate for policies and practices that strengthen youth mental health and mentorship nationwide.
