Consultant/ MHFA Instructor
Ed-Vantage Consulting
Cincinnati, Ohio
Pat was fortunate to retire from education as a high school counselor. She wasn't ready to really "retire" and has since worked as a service specialist at a golf course; a logistics person for a student travel company; a prevention specialist for an anti-bullying program at an abuse and rape crisis center, and a Mental Health First Aid instructor and training coordinator under an AWARE grant at an Educational Service Center. When that grant ended she still wasn't ready to retire and opened her own consultant company doing trainings in Mental Health First Aid, Trauma and Self-Care. During the pandemic she worked for Prevention First as a training coordinator and offered many on line trainings through the Ohio Coaches and Mentoring Network. Currently Pat spends most of her time teaching MHFA through Mental Health America of Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio. She teaches both Adult and Youth courses and is certified in many of the sub curriculums. Pat was selected by her peers under MHANKYSWOH as the Adult Instructor of the Year in 2022 and has been one of the top two instructors teaching the most MHFA participants in the state of Ohio in both 2023 & 2024. Her passion for mental wellness is what keeps her excited about teaching Mental Health First Aid.
