Christiane Liza R. Highfill is a Coordinator of Prevention Programs with the San Joaquin County Office of Education. She earned a Master of Education in School Counseling from Concordia University, Irvine, and obtained her Pupil Personnel Services Credential in 2021.
Ms. Highfill has more than 20 years of professional experience in the field of substance use disorder prevention, working primarily with adolescent populations. She oversees the implementation of the Friday Night Live program, fostering strategic partnerships with schools and community-based organizations to advance positive youth development and to engage young people as leaders and resources within their communities.
A committed advocate for mental health, Ms. Highfill has served for 12 years as a certified facilitator of both adult and youth Mental Health First Aid curricula and recently attained certification to deliver teenMHFA. She also holds credentials in additional suicide prevention programs.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Ms. Highfill enjoys cooking and traveling with her husband.
