First Responder Liaison

Pat is a Mental Health First Aid trainer and serves as the agency's primary liaison to first responder agencies across Horizons' five-county service area. In addition to her training responsibilities, she serves as a member of the local mobile crisis team and works closely with area law enforcement agencies, Fire/EMS, dispatch, and other first responders, to improve crisis response to those in need of behavioral health intervention. She works with these agencies to streamline and improve referral processes to local mental health services. Before joining Horizons, she worked as a supervisor at Reno County Youth Services for 30 years, where she worked closely with youth with involvement in criminal justice, often involving significant social service and behavioral health services needs, before retiring.
