Liz Harris is the Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Communicable and Environmental Diseases and Emergency Preparedness Division of the Tennessee Department of Health. In this role, Liz is responsible for managing the statewide Mental Health First Aid program, participating in cross-cutting grants and projects, and overseeing the implementation of wellness initiatives across the Division. Liz earned a master’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Public Health Administration from East Tennessee State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Austin Peay State University. She enjoys spending her free time gardening, reading, hiking, cuddling her toothless cat, and gaming with her husband.
