Bobbi Jo Ortiz, LCSW is the Chief Executive Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso, where she has served since 2001 and led as CEO since 2014. She brings over two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, youth development, and clinical social work focused on strengthening families and communities in the Paso del Norte region.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from The University of Texas at El Paso and her Master of Social Work from New Mexico State University. Bobbi Jo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor, and certified in Healing Engagement, supporting trauma-informed, relationship-centered approaches to care. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member in UTEP’s Department of Social Work and provides clinical services as a therapist with BetterHelp.
Throughout her career, Bobbi Jo has led the development of innovative mentoring and mental health programs while building strong cross-sector partnerships across education, healthcare, and community organizations. Her work is grounded in equity, prevention, and long-term impact for youth and families.
