Karen Carloni is a nonprofit and behavioral health executive with more than 20 years of experience leading organizations through growth, mergers, and system transformation. She currently serves as Director of Integration at Boundless Strategic Resources, where she supports the growth of the Boundless Advantage platform by leading merger and acquisition integrations, managing due diligence activities, and developing strategic partnerships. She also contributes to thought leadership through content planning and guest curation for The Nonprofit Leader’s Guide podcast.
Previously, Karen served as Executive Vice President of Market Intelligence at OPEN MINDS, where she led executive education, content strategy, and editorial initiatives supporting C-suite leaders across the behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder sectors. She also served as Chief Operating Officer at Cornerstone Montgomery, a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center, overseeing post-merger integration, a $33 million operating budget, and a workforce of 450 staff.
Earlier in her career, Karen spent more than two decades with Southern Maryland Community Network, Inc., including ten years as Executive Director, where she led a multi-service nonprofit organization and successfully executed a strategic merger to ensure long-term sustainability.
Karen is a frequent and trusted presenter at national and state conferences, including National Council for Mental Wellbeing, OPEN MINDS, KAPP, and RCPA, and is known for translating complex strategy and system-level change into practical guidance for executive and board audiences. She holds a Master of Arts from the University of South Florida and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland and South Carolina.
