Lara Buckley, Psy.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California, is a clinical leader with extensive experience spanning direct care, program leadership, and telehealth innovation. She brings a multifaceted skill set, including expertise in building strong relationships with county partners, navigating complex program regulations, and addressing plans of correction. Equally adept at clinical supervision and program support, Dr. Buckley has guided staff development, advanced the implementation of evidence-informed practices, and championed Telecare’s Recovery-Centered Clinical System (RCCS) to foster recovery-focused cultures that strengthen both client outcomes and team engagement.
Dr. Buckley first joined Telecare in 2011 as a Personal Service Coordinator, where she developed a deep understanding of client-centered care at the direct service level. She returned in 2016 as a Clinician, later serving as an Admission Planner, Clinician, and Clinical Director before moving into her current Telehealth leadership role in 2024. Her leadership journey has been shaped by a primary focus on Mental Health Rehabilitation Centers (MHRCs), where she has supported program success through a balance of regulatory compliance, recovery-focused practice, and collaborative leadership.
Prior to her work with Telecare, Dr. Buckley gained valuable experience supporting justice-involved populations as well as children and adolescents, broadening her clinical expertise and reinforcing her ability to adapt to diverse behavioral health settings.
Dr. Buckley has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, CBT for Psychosis, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), as well as neuropsychological assessment. She is deeply committed to advancing staff development, promoting recovery-oriented care, and ensuring high-quality, equitable behavioral health services across program types.
In her current role on Telecare’s Telehealth team, Dr. Buckley draws on her diverse experiences to guide leaders and staff, ensuring programs deliver consistent, recovery-centered, and evidence-informed care. She is passionate about helping teams grow, bridging clinical and operational priorities, and using telehealth to expand access while maintaining Telecare’s commitment to person-centered recovery.
