Caitlin Wright serves as the Director of Behavioral Health Services at the Division of TennCare, Tennessee’s Medicaid agency. In this role, she leads strategic initiatives to improve access, quality, and coordination of behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and individuals with complex needs across the state.
A licensed advanced practice social worker, Caitlin holds a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University and brings over 25 years of experience in the behavioral health field. Her career spans a diverse range of settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient mental health clinics, managed care organizations, and state government.
Caitlin began her public service career at the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, where she worked in the Office of Housing and Homeless Services. She later joined TennCare’s Long-Term Services and Supports division, contributing to the implementation and oversight of the Employment and Community First CHOICES program—an initiative focused on supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based settings.
Throughout her career, Caitlin has been a passionate advocate for integrated, person-centered care and has played a key role in advancing behavioral health policy and program development in Tennessee. Her leadership continues to shape innovative solutions that address the behavioral health needs of vulnerable populations, particularly children and youth involved in child welfare systems.
