Jen’s personal experiences with generational cycles of addiction deeply influence her professional commitment to social work. With over 17 years of experience, Jen has worked in direct service, supervisory, and administrative roles, primarily in mental health, child welfare, and medical social work. Throughout her career, she has held leadership positions that have shaped her comprehensive understanding of the complexities in these fields.
In 2021, Jen joined the Public Children Services Association of Ohio (PCSAO). As the Evaluation and Performance Manager she oversees evaluations for Ohio START (Sobriety, Treatment, and Reducing Trauma) and Ohio's shared practice model (Practice in Action Together), coordinates PCSAO’s research briefs and annual Factbook, and conducts data analysis to track impact and trends over time. Jen is also a part-time faculty at Capella University, currently teaching in the MSW program. Additionally, Jen serves as an active member of the Mental Health and Recovery Board for Licking and Knox Counties.
Jen earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from The Ohio State University and completed her PhD in social work at Walden University in 2024. Her research focuses on the intersection of parental substance use disorder and child maltreatment, and she is dedicated to fostering collaborative research and practice partnerships to improve outcomes for vulnerable families.
