Michelle Cope is a Certified Parent Peer Specialist (CPS-P) with Aspire BHDD’s IC3 Program and the founder of The Yellow Elephant Ministries, a suicide awareness ministry created in memory of her friend Christina. She has extensive experience in suicide awareness, prevention, and postvention, working closely with families, communities, and behavioral health professionals across Georgia.
Michelle is a trained facilitator in QPR, CIT-Youth, NAMI NH Postvention, and Connections Matter. She serves on the DBHDD SOS Postvention Committee and was Chair of the 2025 Suicide Prevention Advocacy Day at the Capitol. Her work has been recognized with the 2020 Golden HEART Award and the 2019 Mother of the Year honor from Georgia Healthy Babies and Moms.
A graduate of Leadership Colquitt County and ELPNO at UGA, Michelle is dedicated to creating safe, stigma-free spaces where connection and hope can thrive.
