Julie Greiner-Ferris LICSW is the Senior Director of Riverside Community Care’s Community Behavioral Health Center in Milford Massachusetts. First as a clinician, and later in multiple program leadership roles, Julie has been a major contributor to the clinical excellence of the outpatient services at Riverside for over 30 years.
Julie is a passionate advocate for behavioral health reform of community mental health in Massachusetts. She has overseen the building of a well-integrated interdisciplinary team at the center which blends the clinical, medical, and peer approaches to provide an innovative and comprehensive model of behavioral health care. Key to this new model of care is the development of a rich and dynamic group treatment program in which nearly all groups are co-led by a clinician and a peer specialist.
Julie is also the co-creator of Yoga-Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (Y-CBT), a research- based group treatment model which offers a mind/body approach. She is also the author of The Yoga CBT Workbook for Anxiety and has presented extensively on this topic and trained many multidisciplined providers in the model.
In her spare time, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, antiquing, gardening and travel.
