Kimberly Macklin is a dedicated and passionate Program Director for the Parent Mentor Program at Morrison Child and Family Services. She holds a Master’s in Nursing, as well as certifications in CADC I and QMHA I. Kimberly’s personal journey is one of resilience and transformation—she just celebrated 18 years of clean and sober living, using her lived experience to inspire and give hope to others.
Kim’s work focuses on raising the voices of parents with lived experience whose children have been removed from their homes and placed in out-of-home care. She is committed to improving policies and practices to ensure the safety of children while working to keep families together. Through her advocacy, she strives to create lasting, meaningful change that supports families during their most difficult times.
In addition to her professional achievements, Kimberly is a proud mother to an adult son and grandmother to a 12-year-old granddaughter. She enjoys spending time outdoors, caring for her property, walking her four dogs, and hosting BBQs with friends. Family is at the heart of everything she does, and she especially treasures the moments spent with her parents and watching her son perform or direct theater.
