Ashley Flores, MPSS, is a Peer Team Lead at Telecare Citrus House — a transformative Crisis Residential Treatment Program (CRTP), aimed at providing voluntary mental health stabilization support within a 16-bed facility. Motivated by her lived experiences, Ashley has worked in the peer mental health field for 14 years and has held roles as Program Manager, Program Coordinator, Shift Supervisor and Team Lead for crisis and outpatient services. Her passion for advocacy has allowed her to utilize her skills in crisis intervention, school-based programs, community trainings on evidence-based practices of support, local and state advocacy, and the implementation of easily accessible, culturally considerate programs in underserved and inappropriately served communities. Throughout her career, Ashley has participated in panels, on boards and speaking events in which she provided trainings on group facilitation, the recovery model, sharing recovery stories in professional and community settings, identifying and avoiding burnout and motivational interviewing.
