Dr. Woodruff has a background in behavioral neuroscience and chronic disease. She is an Associate Professor of Research at the University of Missouri in St. Louis, at the Missouri Institute of Mental Health. Her current work is focused on health outcomes for individuals who experience mental illness and have chronic disease. Her team uses data-driven methods to study factors associated with poor health outcomes for individuals who receive integrated, team-based care. Dr. Woodruff's research team integrates data from various public health sources, medical records, and environmental factors to evaluate the effectiveness, safety, and overall impact of healthcare practices, treatments, and interventions. Additionally, they analyze the implementation of interventions in community-based settings to identify practices that yield optimal health outcomes at both individual and population levels. Ultimately, the data and analyses provide valuable insights for medical decision-making, policy development, and the improvement of healthcare systems.
