As the number of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) continues to grow nationwide, accreditation plays a critical role in ensuring quality, accountability, and consistency in service delivery. This session will provide an overview of the current landscape of CCBHC accreditation, including existing processes, the role of accrediting bodies, and key considerations for states and providers.
Participants will receive updates on recent and anticipated federal policy developments shaping accreditation requirements and expectations. In addition to sharing information, this session is designed to be interactive. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide input and feedback to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) on the future direction of CCBHC accreditation. Insights gathered will help inform policy, implementation strategies, and potential enhancements to ensure accreditation processes support high-quality, accessible, and sustainable behavioral health care.
