This session explores how workplace characteristics influence employment outcomes for individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. Attendees will gain evidence-based insights from a scoping review of industries including healthcare, construction, and retail, with a focus on reducing stigma and enhancing recovery-supportive environments. Framed by the Workplace-Supported Recovery model, findings highlight the importance of empathetic leadership, peer support, and inclusive workplace policies. Participants will leave with practical guidance to inform recovery-friendly practices that align with the Total Worker Health® approach.
