Explore how Be Well Initiatives brings mental health prevention beyond clinical walls and directly into communities. Through the Be Well Bell Movement, vibrant public art connects individuals to essential resources including mental and physical healthcare, housing and social supports, addressing key social determinants of health. This session highlights how upstream strategies and community collaboration reduce stigma, increase visibility and expand access to whole-person care. Participants will leave with practical tools to launch their own project to foster community connection and resilience.
Learning Objectives:
After participating in this session, attendees will be able to identify three current barriers in accessing mental health care within their community.
After participating in this session, attendees will be able to formulate two opportunities for community collaboration in reducing mental health stigma.
After participating in this session, attendees will be able to create a plan for implementing their own community mental health project.
