Interventions emphasizing help-seeker collaboration, such as the Safety Planning Intervention and Crisis Response Planning, are best practices for crisis de-escalation and suicide prevention. Yet, there are practical and clinical considerations for their implementation in a mental health crisis hotline setting, especially across modalities (e.g., call, chat, text, videophone). This panel will bring together distinguished experts in the fields of crisis response and suicide prevention, and share findings from a recent evaluation, to shed light on how to adapt these interventions within crisis hotline settings.

Discuss brief, collaborative interventions for providing suicide crisis de-escalation to help seekers within a metal health crisis hotline setting.
Discuss findings from a recent evaluation of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and potential implementation of the crisis response plan within crisis line settings.
