Once the CCBHC Prospective Payment System (PPS) rate is established, it is critical that financial, operational, and clinical leadership understand the key drivers of financial success in the PPS world. Attendees will be re-educated on PPS rate-setting concepts and what key performance indicators (KPIs) and management reports are critical to monitoring the CCBHC’s financial performance through the lens of preserving the CCBHC PPS rate upon re-basing. Drawing on extensive experience with CCBHC rate setting and re-basing, this session will highlight practical tips and lessons learned for navigating common barriers in the process.

Describe the foundation of CCBHC PPS rate-setting, and the key financial/operational metrics driving the CCBHC PPS rate.
Identify recommended financial/operational management reports to monitor financial performance of the CCBHC program.
